Palma, Spain, 11th May 2022 – Hotelbeds has just announced a partnership to distribute its full hotel and car rental portfolio on Xeni, a B2B service offering a complete white label travel booking and payments platform.

Xeni users – which include small to medium-sized leisure agencies, experience sellers cross-selling travel and organisations seeking discounted travel for their community – will gain access to 300,000 hotels and 500 car rental providers that are part of the Hotelbeds portfolio.&nbsp;

Hotelbeds congratulates host city as its most in-demand destination ahead ATM Dubai

Palma, Spain, 21st April 2022 – One of the world’s leading B2B travel tech companies, Hotelbeds, and Polish NGO the MaYa Foundation have today announced a new partnership dedicated to helping Ukrainian refugees find work and temporary accommodation in the country.

As part of this project, the two organisations will jointly support people who have fled the war to Poland by helping them to find temporary accommodation through Hotelbeds’ Make Room For Ukraine initiative, and to apply for jobs with the company, supported by the team at the MaYa Foundation.

ESG lead for Hotelbeds, Aina Aguílo, explained: “Following on from the support we are offering to refugees fleeing Ukraine in terms of helping them to find accommodation on the way to their final destinations, we also wanted to explore how else we could provide much-needed help and support from an employment perspective.

“So we have been speaking to many NGOs to explore the opportunities and are pleased that we have been able to make a start in Poland to begin with, through this partnership with the MaYa Foundation.

She added: “The MaYA team will support people on the ground in Poland to apply for jobs with Hotelbeds, as well as take part in the Make Room For Ukraine accommodation project, both of which we are sure will help to make a difference at this very challenging time for them.”

Marek Zmysłowski, co-founder of the MaYa Foundation said: “We decided to start a call centre that will allow us to support refugees. We will answer the questions of people travelling from Poland, searching for accommodation and support those who are looking for a job. We will also help with all formalities. Thanks to this, we can provide real help to those who need it.

With over 3,000 hotels contracted, Thailand has always been one of the top destinations for Hotelbeds, consistently ranking in the top 5 most popular locations. And now, thanks to this new opportunity, the company will not only further develop its presence in the region but will also play a crucial part in helping to open up countries in the Asia Pacific region, supporting its clients in the recovery of a market that has been so badly impacted by the COVID pandemic.

Hotelbeds partners with Tourism Authority of Thailand  to attract US travellers

Palma, Spain, 21st March 2022 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has this week announced it is using its position in the industry to help refugees fleeing the conflict in Ukraine to find accommodation.

Working with local NGOs, and with the generous support of its hotel partners across Europe, the company has launched its Making Room for Ukraine project, following its announcement to cease its commercial activities in Russia and Belarus. Hotelbeds is also supporting the relief efforts of the International Committee of Red Cross as a neutral, independent and impartial organization responding to urgent humanitarian needs in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

Hotelbeds’ ESG lead, Aina Aguiló, said; “We knew we had to move quickly as the people of Ukraine needed urgent help, so a lot has been happening in a very short space of time.

“We are working with NGOs on the Ukrainian border to identify where refugees are heading, the route they will take and what accommodation they will need along the way.”

And CEO, Nicolas Huss, added: “We recognise that we’re in a pretty unique position within the industry where we can leverage our relationships to support this humanitarian crisis. It is the least we can do.

“Of course this wouldn’t be possible without the generous help of our hotel partners and the NGOs. We are grateful to them for their quick response and support, as well as to our teams who have been working day and night to make this happen.”

The project has already helped a number of families to make the journey from Ukraine to Spain via Hungary and France, including a group who just days before were sleeping on the floor of a shopping mall.

Hotelbeds welcomes Bertrand Sava as new General Manager for Retail business

Palma, Spain, 3rd March 2022 – Hotelbeds has just unveiled a new occupancy-based pricing model (OBP), giving hoteliers the power to maximise the exposure of their rooms by displaying different occupancy options – another great tool in their armoury as people start to get moving again.

The new strategy, in collaboration with one of our key connectivity partners - RateTiger, gives the hoteliers working with Hotelbeds greater control over the price at which different combinations are offered, depending on occupancy.

Paul Anthony, Digital Commercialisation Director at Hotelbeds, explained the advantages of the OBP model. He said: “We are excited to move to this new OBP model as we believe there are many benefits to it. For a start, with this model hotels will have a more sufficient overall structure while we develop a much more seamless process with them.” He added that benefits are not only for the hoteliers, but also for the Channel Managers as OBP “allows them to better monitor the inventory they push to all channels.”

Hotelbeds named by IHG Hotels & Resorts as a preferred provider of wholesale rates for B2B travel buyers

Palma, Spain, 09th&nbsp;February 2022 – Hotelbeds has just unveiled its latest annual Environmental, Social and Governance Report, which aims, as Hotelbeds CEO, Nicolas Huss, explains: "to show how we are determined to make our actions speak louder than our words and to leverage our position to make a difference in this new world of travel.”

In this 2021 publication, Nicolas Huss highlights the importance of global companies like Hotelbeds doing all they can in their power to protect the planet. As the CEO says, Hotelbeds does this “through the actions we are taking, the commitments we are making and through the determination of our employees to make a difference.”

The main focus of the report, which has followed the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is to capture how Hotelbeds is working to move closer to a business model based on sustainable development.

It also covers a wide range of initiatives that Hotelbeds has carried out from 1 October 2020 to 30 September 2021, which include:


	Achieving for the fourth year in a row carbon neutral status by reducing its CO2 emissions and working with Carbon Footprint Ltd, an independent body that accredits carbon management measurements of companies, to offset emissions that cannot be avoided. Part of the reduction in CO2 emissions is also due to Hotelbeds’ use of Google’s carbon neutral data storage cloud.
	Joining Amazon’s Climate Pledge in their commitment to urge global industries to tackle climate change and to reduce carbon emissions to zero by 2040, a decade ahead of the Paris Agreement’s goal of 2050.
	Continuing to add hotels to its Green Hotels Programme. Now more than 20,000 hotels are part of the programme which launched in late 2020, designed to identify, highlight and promote sustainable accommodation across its portfolio.


In addition to the various sustainability measures that have been put in place, the company is fully committed to the more human side of its business. One of the most important elements of its people strategy is to have a diverse and inclusive workforce, and Hotelbeds is now made up of 88 different nationalities and has strong female representation at all levels of the company, with 50% of the Executive Committee and 57% of its global workforce being women.

“We are committed, of course, to sustainability matters but we also have strongly in mind the protection of human rights, the promotion of diversity &amp; inclusion, the importance of being a responsible partner and employer.
