Palma, 6th March 2019. Hotelbeds, the world´s leading bedbank, has today confirmed at ITB Berlin an increase in the number of its hotel partners.

During the last year Hotelbeds has increased by 10,000 the number of unique hotels – mainly located in the North American and Asia-Pacific markets – available on its platform.

Currently a total of 180,000 unique hotels are available on the Hotelbeds system and a majority of the hotels are directly contracted under exclusive terms and conditions.

This growth has been driven by the renewed focus of Hotelbeds in providing its hotel partners with complementary bookings via its network of 60,000 travel buyers from both non-domestic source markets and B2B buyers – including tour operators, retail travel agents, airline websites and loyalty and reward points schemes.

In particular there has been an increase in signing strategic partnerships with key hotel chains globally and preferred agreements with channel managers worldwide. This has in part been supported by the expansion of the contracting workforce to over 1,100 contractors based around the world in popular local destinations.

In early February Hotelbeds announced that, following the acquisitions of Tourico Holidays and GTA into its business, now 90% of its hotel partners have access to all of the over 60,000 travel buying intermediaries that use the Hotelbeds platform. Such channels attract guests who book further in advance, cancel less, stay longer, spend more in-destination, and re-book more frequently.

As part of this change Hotelbeds’ hotel partners are now unified under the same terms and conditions, whilst also having access to a simplified and unified billing and account management service.

	Germany is the fifth largest source market worldwide – and the third in Europe – for Hotelbeds.
	Majorca, Antalya and Crete remain the most booked destinations on the Hotelbeds platform for Germans this summer.[1]

Palma, 28th February 2019. Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has revealed ahead of ITB Berlin – which will take place this year from Wednesday 6 to Sunday&nbsp;10 march – has confirmed Germany as its fifth largest source market globally and third largest European source market.

Additionally Hotelbeds’ booking data has confirmed that European beach destinations are the most in demand this summer for German tourists, with Majorca remaining the most popular and Antalya remaining the second most popular, followed by Crete.

New York is the most popular international city choice for Germans this summer and the 4th most popular overall proceeded by Majorca, Antalya and Crete.&nbsp; At an international level New York is followed by Barcelona and then London, with Barcelona replacing London as the second choice compared to last year.&nbsp;

For Germans choosing &nbsp;Asian destinations this summer, Bali &nbsp;is for another consecutive year the most visited destination for the Germany source market – and the 14th most popular overall, but down from number 7 last year.

 Hotelbeds confirms Germany as fifth largest source market globally


	Approximately 90% of Hotelbeds’ 170,000 hotel partners have now gained significantly expanded distribution reach – following the acquisitions of Tourico Holidays and GTA.

Palma, February 12, 2019. Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has today provided a further update on the final stages of the integration of Tourico Holidays and GTA into its bedbank platform.

As of the close of January approximately 90% of the company’s existing 170,000 hotel partners are now gaining access to all of the company’s 60,000 travel buying intermediaries across the portfolio of Hotelbeds’ brands. This follows a process of unifying all hotel partners onto one new and unique contract. The process began in last year and involved working with hotel partners who were working with one or more of the three bedbank brands – Tourico Holidays, GTA, and Hotelbeds – prior to Tourico Holidays and GTA joining Hotelbeds in 2017.&nbsp;

Under the new contracts hotels are now able to distribute their accommodation under the same terms and conditions, whilst additionally benefiting from standardized and centralized processes for billing and account management.

Bringing all its hotel partners onto one contract forms part of the Hotelbeds strategy to find ever simpler and more efficient means to offer its hotel partners bookings that don’t compete with the direct channel.

Hotelbeds is now able to offer hotels a larger and wider range of travel buying intermediaries that has increased to more than 60,000 worldwide. This includes airlines, loyalty programs, traditional travel agencies and tour operators – all of whom offer high-value guests that book further in advance, cancel less, pay more for a room, spend more in destination, and return more often.

This news forms part of Hotelbeds’ strategy to fully integrate Tourico Holidays and GTA into Hotelbeds to form one enhanced bedbank.

Since acquiring Tourico Holidays and GTA in 2017 the process of integration has now almost finished: &nbsp;


	Throughout 2018 the newly revised management structure was announced, combining the best talent from Tourico Holidays, GTA and Hotelbeds – including the creation of a Product Management department.
	In April Hotelbeds announced that going forward it would focus only on its strategic bedbank core by disposing of its incoming services division, called Destination Management, for 110 million euros.
	During 2018 the company was also transitioning the bedbanks across onto one technology platform and the process is now almost complete.&nbsp;
	In September 2018 the consolidation of the company’s retail brands under Bedsonline was announced, along with the launch of a refreshed Bedsonline identity and updated platform.
	The consolidation of all the brands of the wholesale channel —GTA, Tourico Holidays and Hotelbeds— under the name of ‘Hotelbeds’ was announced in October, phasing out the Tourico Holidays and GTA brands.
	Additionally the decision was announced to phase out the ‘Group’ reference when speaking about the company as a whole, to become simply ‘Hotelbeds’.

Shanghai, China – January 30, 2019 – Hotelbeds, the world´s leading bedbank, has today revealed the top international destinations for Chinese travellers during the seven day Chinese New Year holiday period starting on Monday, February 4th.

According to booking data from the Hotelbeds platform for this year’s break, Thailand is the most popular destination, with Japan and Singapore ranked second and thirdly respectively. These are followed, in descending order, by Malaysia, the United States, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Vietnam, and South Korea.

Whilst Spain and Italy have this year dropped out of the top ten countries, replaced by Vietnam and South Korea, nonetheless the two remain popular with Chinese tourists and come in at eleventh and twelfth place this year.

Additionally, a trend for Chinese travellers visiting a wider range of countries continues, with Chinese travellers booking hotels through the Hotelbeds bedbank platform in 102 countries during the Chinese New Year holiday period, up from 88 last year.

China remains the number one source market in the wholesale channel for Hotelbeds in Asia Pacific and is now the 4th biggest for Hotelbeds globally, where Hotelbeds offers Chinese travel intermediaries – such as tour operators, airlines, points redemption schemes, and retail travel agents – access to over 170,000 hotels, 24,000 transfer routes and 18,000 activities, available in over 185 countries.

The Chinese New Year holiday, also known as ‘Spring Festival’, is a seven-day national holiday in China that takes place from Monday February 4th to Sunday February 10th. The date of the Chinese New Year varies each year, according to China’s lunar calendar, and last year fell on February 16th.

According to the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), a total of 6.5 million Chinese mainland tourists travelled aboard during the seven-day Chinese New Year holiday in 2018, with that figure set to increase to 7 million this year.

Shanghai, China - September 27, 2018 - Hotelbeds Group, the world´s leading bedbank, has today announced today the top international destinations for Chinese travellers during the seven day Chinese National Day holiday period starting on October 1.

According to Hotelbeds Group’s booking data for this year’s break, Southeast Asian countries remain top destinations for Chinese outbound tourists during the National Day holiday. Six of the top ten international destination countries of this year will be Asian countries, with the list topped by Thailand and followed by, in descending order, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and South Korea.

However, four non-Asian countries now feature in the list – up from only two for the same period in 2017 – with the United States proving the top destination, followed by Italy, France and Spain. The top ten international destinations for Chinese travellers during the National Day holiday in 2017 were, in descending order, Thailand, the United States, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Italy, and South Korea.

Additionally, Chinese travellers are travelling to a wider range of countries, with Chinese travellers booking hotels through Hotelbeds Group’s bedbank platform in 111 countries during the National Day holiday period, up from 106 last year.

This year the National Day holiday period is preceded by the September 22-24 Mid-Autumn Festival, which is a three-day national holiday in China whose date shifts according to the lunar calendar, meaning that many Chinese workers have taken advantage to plan two whole weeks of holiday by taking only six working days away from the office. &nbsp;

Sam Turner, Wholesale Sales &amp; Sourcing Director at Hotelbeds Group, said, “A week long holiday in a country with the world’s largest population offers vast potential for the world’s tourism industry – not least as it is preceded by a three-day national holiday only the week before, meaning many are actually taking two weeks away from the office this year. China National Day holiday, also known as Golden Week, is a seven day national holiday in China that takes place from October 1st to 7th. This holiday season was introduced in the year 2000 to help boost domestic tourism and to allow families to make long journeys to visit relatives.

According to the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), a total of 6 million Chinese mainland tourists travelled aboard during the seven days National Day holiday in 2017, with that figure set to increase to 7 million this year.

Shanghai, China - September 26, 2018 - Hotelbeds Group, the world´s leading bedbank, has today provided another update on the senior management appointments across its Group in Asia Pacific (APAC).

Hui-Wan Chua has been confirmed as the Regional Director for Wholesale Sales for the APAC market. In this role, Chua will be responsible for growing the Group’s business in the APAC region across the three different bedbank brands – Hotelbeds, Tourico Holidays and GTA – reporting directly to Sam Turner, the Wholesale Sales &amp; Sourcing Director with global responsibility.

Previously Chua joined GTA in 2017, before it joined Hotelbeds Group in 2017, and was most recently the Vice President of Asia Sales &amp; Marketing. Before joining Hotelbeds Group she was the CEO at ZUJI, a leading online travel agent in Asia. Chua has also held a number of senior roles in Asia at leading travel companies such as Travelport and Abacus International.

Additionally, the regional management positions that will report to Chua have been confirmed, combining the best of existing internal talent from across the three bedbanks.

In the Regional Manager roles, Chan Tze Yuan has been appointed to cover Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan; Isabelle Kim will cover East Asia; Richard Styles will be in charge of Pacific and Indochina; and Laura Wang and Joy Huang will lead China.

	First agreement for Hotelbeds to supply dynamic packaging platform to a full-service commercial airline globally
	‘Singapore Airlines Holidays’-branded packages will be made available online progressively to Airline’s customers in over 20 source markets globally

London – Singapore, 5th September 2018. Hotelbeds Group and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have come together to form a holiday packaging partnership, offering bundled flights and hotel accommodation solutions to SIA’s customers.

This new collaboration enables SIA to take a step further by utilising Hotelbeds Group’s proprietary dynamic packaging platform to enable customers to curate their own holiday packages, with real-time selection of flights from SIA’s extensive network plus more than 170,000 hotels. More than 24,000 transfer routes and 18,000 activities such as theme parks and museums from Hotelbeds will be made available progressively.

Singapore Airlines’ customers will be able to book these customisable packages online in an easy and convenient manner. Customers will also be able to earn KrisFlyer miles on the total package value purchased. These packages will be progressively made available on SIA’s website across Singapore and other parts of Asia Pacific, as well as Europe, India and North America. Packages will first be introduced in Australia.

Hotelbeds Group will also provide a dedicated team – primarily based in Singapore – responsible not only for promoting the wide range of hotels available for the ‘Singapore Airlines Holidays’ product but also for customer service, pricing and product optimisation.

Palma, 4th September 2018. Hotelbeds Group, the world’s leading bedbank, has announced today the appointment of Tracey Bartlam as the new Sales Manager covering the UK &amp; Scandinavian market for the Group’s Ancillary Bank, which distributes ancillary products (excursions, event tickets, theme parks, cruises and car rental products) to retail travel agents, wholesalers, tour operators, airlines, online travel agencies, hotel industry partners, activity providers, tourism boards and points of sale.

Bartlam has a career spanning more than 16 years in the retail travel sales industry, including as a national account manager for Attraction World, one of the world’s leading theme park and attraction ticket specialists.

In her new role Bartlam will help with the further consolidation of the Ancillary Bank division of Hotelbeds Group in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.

Bartlam will become part of a team that will now consist of five dedicated regional Sales &amp; Sourcing roles reporting directly to Peter Jones, the Head of Sales for Europe.

This appointment to the Ancillary Bank sales team in Europe comes at a strategic moment for the company after the recent announcement of a new structure for the department, following the integration of Tourico Holidays and GTA into the Group last year.

This new business structure was introduced a few months ago to ensure the optimization of cross-selling opportunities generated through the company’s diverse and global bedbank client base of more than 60,000 travel intermediaries around the world.
