	Launch of chatbot feature called ‘Bedsy’ for Hotelbeds and Bedsonline clients will reduce waiting times by automatically responding to our clients’ most common requests.
	Bedsy complements and enhances Hotelbeds’ Livechat service, launched earlier this year, that enables clients to directly speak with the Contact Centre via the web.
	Both Bedsy and Livechat are part of the recently launched ‘SelfSeT’ self-service toolkit from Hotelbeds that will see further initiatives scheduled for release this year.


Palma, Spain, &nbsp;25 June 2020 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has today announced the launch of a chatbot feature called Bedsy that will be available to Hotelbeds and Bedsonline clients.

This news follows the successful launch of ‘Livechat’ at the beginning of the year. Livechat puts clients in direct contact with their local Contact Centre in a much faster way than before, creating a real-time, one-to-one relationship via a web chat function.

Bedsy is a chatbot that can provide the status of booking queries or provide a supplier confirmation number all in real time and whilst attending an unlimited number of customers simultaneously.

Bedsy can also point clients in the right direction for many other day-to-day booking requests and queries, such as how to send a special request to the hotel or provide links to access hotel information.

Both Livechat and Bedsy form part of ‘SelfSeT’, a newly launched self-service toolkit from Hotelbeds designed to help clients resolve their most common queries in the fastest and most convenient way possible.&nbsp;

The SelfSeT toolkit will provide new tools to help clients save time and effort when managing bookings with Livechat and Bedsy are the first tools available. Further planned launches will include a Reservations Help Desk, a Reservation Management Portal for API clients, an automated phone support platform, and a range of new functionalities and improvements to the booking engine.

Bedsy and Livechat are already available to more than 60,000 client partners Hotelbeds and Bedsonline are working with around the world – including travel agents, tour operators, airlines, and points redemption schemes – with the exception of Japan and China. By automatically responding to clients’ queries Bedsy is able to save valuable time for clients and maximise the efficiency of Hotelbeds’ Contact Centres.

	Hotelbeds to distribute Radisson Hotel Group’s 1,100 hotels in operation in 120 countries to over 60,000 B2B travel buyers, including retail travel agents, airlines, loyalty programs and tour operators.

Palma, Spain, &nbsp;23 &nbsp;June 2020 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has entered into a preferred partnership with Radisson Hotel Group, one of the world's largest hotel groups. &nbsp;

The collaboration was signed in April of this year and takes the form of a preferred agreement.&nbsp;

Through this agreement, Radisson Hotel Group will distribute via Hotelbeds’ network of more than 60,000 B2B travel buyers such as tour operators, retail travel agents, airlines and loyalty programs across more than 140 source markets worldwide.

At the same time, Hotelbeds’ customers will gain access to preferential rates and availability across Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio of over 1,100 hotels in more than 120 countries worldwide, representing seven brands including Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson and Country Inn &amp; Suites by Radisson.

Hotelbeds’ portfolio of 60,000 B2B travel buyers will offer Radisson Hotel Group incremental, high value bookings from non-domestic markets that typically book further in advance, pay more per room, stay for longer, cancel less and spend more at the property. &nbsp;

Radisson Hotel Group will distribute its hotel rooms through Hotelbeds’ two main channels: the wholesale distribution channel that operates under the 'Hotelbeds' brand, and the retail channel, Bedsonline, that caters to retail travel agents.

Hotelbeds signs preferred distribution agreement with Radisson Hotel Group


	Hotelbeds will add 10,000 more properties by the end of the year.
	Major source markets where domestic content will be significantly strengthened will initially include the USA, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, with more to be added in the near future.
	The plan also focuses on sourcing hotels from secondary destinations, adding more property types, increasing the availability of refundable rates and actions to capture last minute booking demand.


Palma, Spain,&nbsp;18 June 2020&nbsp;–&nbsp; Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has today announced a plan that responds to the strong demand for domestic hotels from the world’s largest source markets following the aftermath of COVID-19.

As part of this drive, Hotelbeds plans to add an additional 10,000 new properties to its global portfolio of hotels by the end of the year.

Harnessing big data analytical capabilities, Hotelbeds has been able to closely compare the main corridors, lead time, and length of stay for each source market to more accurately predict the characteristics of the surge in demand for domestic stays.

As a first wave the initiative will be implemented in &nbsp;the USA, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, with more countries to be included in the near future.

This strategy has been strongly supported by many of Hotelbeds’ 60,000 B2B travel buyers worldwide – including tour operators, airlines, points redemption schemes and retail travel agencies – who have also clearly signalled the increase in demand for domestic properties following the pandemic.

In addition to adding more domestic properties in the above-mentioned markets, Hotelbeds is already putting in place the following actions:


	
	Expanding its hotel portfolio in secondary destinations in order to cover new leisure destinations relevant for domestic travellers.
	
	
	Adding more property types, for example resorts and rural hotels.
	
	
	Increasing the availability of refundable rates to provide peace of mind for final customers.
	
	
	Reducing releases and minimum stay requirements in order to increase to the maximum availability and respond to the more last minute profile of domestic travellers.

Palma, 16th June 2020 -&nbsp;Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has launched today a new API portal for APItude.

APItude is Hotelbeds’ API that allows travel trade buyers such as tour operators, airlines and points redemption schemes to directly integrate Hotelbeds’ 180,000 hotel properties and ancillary services into their platform.&nbsp;

The new portal has been through beta testing with selected clients for the last two months and now is ready for launch, featuring a completely renewed design and new functionality.

As a result, APItude is now even easier for clients to use, due to features such as:


	Real-time dashboard: clients will have full control and visibility over their current API status and usage in real time. There is also a new stats dashboard, providing near real-time insights of API usage, powered directly by Hotelbeds’ Business Intelligence data warehouse.
	Automated documentation:&nbsp; Hotelbeds has built modern, automated OpenAPI generated documentation to ensure the documentation always remains updated for our clients.
	Faster integration with the APIs: new integrations will go from testing to production in just a few days, with a simple, new four-step process. This turnaround time to execution makes APItude far more appealing.

Shanghai, June 4th 2020 – Hotelbeds, the world’s leading bedbank, has announced a strategic partnership with Trip.com Group, a leading provider of online travel and related services that operates the Trip.com, Ctrip, and Skyscanner brands.

The partnership will provide Trip.com Group with access to Hotelbeds’ Beyond The Bed portfolio of more than 18,000 activities in 690 destinations, 25,000 transfer routes in 1,100 destinations, as well as theme-park attractions and entrance tickets for events all over the world.

Products from the Beyond The Bed portfolio will be directly connected with Trip.com Group’s system via API connectivity. End customers will get access to Beyond The Bed’s attractive portfolio of tours and activities through Trip.com Group’s in-destination services sales points, vacation packaging and packaged tour channels.

The agreement provides ancillary supplier partners of Beyond The Bed with access to Trip.com Group’s 400 million customers via both the Chinese and non-Chinese distribution channels of Trip.com Group, which operates the Ctrip, Trip.com, and Skyscanner platforms.

	‘Safe2Stay’ consolidates into one filterable category the different COVID-19 health and safety measures in place from hotels and providers of transfers, activities, events, theme parks and car rental. &nbsp;

Safe2Stay is a distribution filter category that consolidates and displays in the booking process the different COVID-19 health and safety protocols and certifications that travel industry companies, tourism boards and lobby groups have recently created.

The Safe2Stay category covers both accommodation and providers of services such as transfers, activities, theme parks and car rental. All products with a listing in the category will feature a Safe2Stay badge in the booking engine along with details of what this means outlined in a glossary compiling all protocols in one reference point.

All partners working with Hotelbeds that have created their own COVID-19 health and safety protocols are eligible to include their information in the filter category and hotels partners can do so directly via MaxiRoom, Hotelbeds’ partner extranet. &nbsp;

Global health and safety certifications from hotel chain partners such as Accor, Radisson, Hyatt and RIU Hotels and Resorts, as well as organizations such as the American Hotel &amp; Lodging Association and Turismo de Portugal, will be displayed in the Safe2Stay filter category alongside those of many other companies and institutions.

This category will be visible as a filter on the Hotelbeds and Bedsonline booking engines and the same information will be made available to all of Hotelbeds’ API clients to configure into their own systems.

Hotelbeds to launch ‘Safe2Stay’ to support industry recovery  


	Online version of the program temporarily replaces the volunteering activities that have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
	Over 30 volunteering opportunities that respond to COVID-19 impact available to Hotelbeds staff throughout the globe during this global pandemic.
	Since launching the Corporate Volunteering Program two years ago, around two thirds of Hotelbeds’ staff have participated in 350 activities, dedicating over 7,500 hours.


Palma, Spain,&nbsp;6th May 2020&nbsp;–&nbsp; Hotelbeds , the world’s leading bedbank, has today confirmed the launch of&nbsp; a virtual version of its existing Corporate Volunteering program to assist those most vulnerable during COVID-19.

The new online program started last week and temporarily replaces the in-person Hotelbeds volunteering activities that unfortunately have been cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19.

This remote program encourages the company’s global workforce to actively participate in volunteering opportunities throughout the globe – including in Spain, the United States, Mexico, and more countries – during this global pandemic, making meaningful contributions to those most affected by COVID-19.

The activities are all carried out remotely to ensure the safety of Hotelbeds’ employees and include over 30 volunteering opportunities such as aiding the elderly, entertaining children, and sharing crucial skills with NGOs.&nbsp;

Examples of some activities already undertaken include: telephone calls and letters to COVID victims in hospitals, supporting Mallorca sense Fam to translate its annual report from Spanish to English;&nbsp; and guiding blind or low-vision users from ‘Be my eyes’, a free app that connects blind and low-vision people with sighted volunteers through a live video call.

Teresa Laso, Head of Corporate Sustainability, said: “Giving back to our community has always been at the core of Hotelbeds’ culture and we are needed now more than ever before. With so many inspiring examples of remote working and communities embracing digital methods to bring people together as a result of COVID-19, we were determined to find a way to shift our existing Corporate Volunteer Program into the virtual sphere during this period.

“The current activities have been chosen because they are very well suited to the technological requirements needed, but also because they are focused on the new needs of many out there due to COVID-19 – for example helping to entertain&nbsp; children whose school is closed but their parents are still working, or elderly people who are unable to receive visitors in person currently.”&nbsp;

The Hotelbeds Corporate Volunteering program was launched two years ago across the main company offices worldwide, including its headquarters in Palma, Mallorca, plus offices in Orlando, Singapore, Bangkok, Cancun, Dubai, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, New Delhi and Zurich. Since then, two thirds of employees worldwide have participated in around 350 volunteering activities dedicating over 7,500 hours to support the following areas: the environment, health, people at risk of social exclusion, poverty and childhood.

Around 100 NGOs around the globe have been able to benefit from Hotelbeds’ Corporate Volunteering program, including NGOs such as Give Kids the World in Orlando, Beyond Social Services in Singapore, The Thai Red Cross in Bangkok, Mallorca Sense Fam and El Grec in Mallorca, and Food for Life in Tel Aviv, among many others.

Orlando, FL, - Palma, 12 September 2019. Hotelbeds, the world's leading bedbank, has today announced a strategic alliance with Selina, one of the fastest growing hotel brands in the world.

This strategic agreement will give Selina access to Hotelbeds’ large high-value distribution network made up of more than 60,000 travel agents, airlines, tour operators and loyalty programs in more than 140 source markets worldwide.

At the same time, Hotelbeds customers will have, from now on, access to the Selina hotel portfolio, consisting of more than 52 properties located mainly in Latin America, but also located across Europe, with properties in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Greece, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Portugal and the United Kingdom.

The hotel chain plans to open more than 35 locations in 2019, including upcoming openings in the United States, United Kingdom, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Chile, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. By 2023 Selina expects to have more than 130,000 beds in more than 400 locations around the world, all of which Hotelbeds will also have access to.

As part of this agreement Selina will distribute its hotel rooms through the two distribution channels of Hotelbeds, all under the same contract: the wholesale channel that operates under the name 'Hotelbeds', and the retail channel, which operates under the name 'Bedsonline’ and focused solely on travel advisors.

Hotelbeds provides its hotel partners with additional reservations through its network of international B2B travel buyers who bring high-value guests who normally book further in advance, cancel less, stay longer, spend more at the hotel and come back more often.

Hotelbeds and Selina sign strategic distribution agreement


	Due to unprecedented demand from its customer base, MarketHub events from 2020 will now be held annually in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
	Additionally, Hotelbeds to launch hotelier focused events in 2020, based on the successful MarketHub format.
	Decision follows the high return of investment that Hotelbeds has experienced from its own large-scale events vs traditional industry tradeshows.&nbsp;


Palma, Spain 10th September 2019.&nbsp;Hotelbeds,&nbsp;the world’s leading bedbank, has today confirmed its plans to expand its successful MarketHub formula.

From 2020 the MarketHub events – typically attended by up to 600 participants from leading tour operators, airlines, loyalty and points redemption schemes – will now be taking place on an annual basis in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

MarketHubs are an invitation-only, three-day event&nbsp;that bring together the key decision makers of the top travel distribution players in a dynamic environment of presentations, networking and entertainment. These events have become a regular milestone in the calendar of Hotelbeds’ clients since their launch in 2009.

Additionally for 2020, Hotelbeds will hold hotelier focused events based on the successful MarketHub format. In the meantime, Hotelbeds will also be increasing the frequency of its regular series of smaller-scale events for its partners in destinations around the world.
