London, November 9, 2016 – Hotelbeds Group, the business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry globally, has unveiled a plan to triple the sales of its Transfer and Activity Bank (TAB) during the coming years. &nbsp;

One of the key growth drivers in achieving this ambitious target will be the expansion of the existing product portfolio to include additional tours, transfers and activities. Additionally the company will continue to focus on providing its partners with best-in-class technology solutions to make the upselling of ancillaries even simpler and quicker. Together these two drivers will have the benefit of attracting further intermediaries to the platform, allowing for further additional growth in sales.

Hotelbeds Group’s Transfer and Activity Bank (TAB) is the world’s leading online distributor of transfers, tours and activities. It provides both the industry and the end consumer with a consolidated range of in-destination products worldwide. The company currently offers over 19,000 transfer routes and over 12,000 activity options in more than 650 destinations. These activities include theatre, sport and theme park tickets, excursions and car rental products. Cinven and CPPIB complete acquisition of Hotelbeds Group

London 22&nbsp;September 2016.&nbsp;In a move to revolutionise the purchase funnel for the in-destination tourism industry, Hotelbeds Group has joined forces with pioneering tech start up What Now Travel, which powers The London Official City Guide App and is set to launch their own dedicated app, to introduce a whole new stream of revenue for the travel industry by providing a new purchasing tool for consumers travelling to a tourism destination.

The innovative partnership will see Hotelbeds Group and What Now Travel leverage consumer micro-moments and convert these into sales through a wide variety of touchpoints over the travel lifecycle.

Paul Anthony, managing director of the Transfer and Activity Bank (TAB) division of Hotelbeds Group said:

“Benefiting from the large product portfolio of Hotelbeds, the What Now?! app also aims to enhance ‘in-hotel’ distribution, adding value to the traveller experience by helping tourists to discover London and buy same day tickets at the last minute. The formation of this new partnership between Hotelbeds Group and What Now Travel will offer the tourism industry a new avenue to generate income whilst enhancing consumer travel experiences through smartphone technology.”

&nbsp;Along with electronic ticket redemption, which will allow users to make same day bookings and eliminate the need for paper tickets, the partnership will enable users to purchase seven-day flexi attraction tickets through API connections to Hotelbeds Group portfolio of more than 11,000 activities, which will be embedded into the What Now?! app.

It is through these API connections that hotels, airlines, tour attraction providers, travel agents, and other tourism industry partners will now be able to generate revenue through commissions earnt by purchases through the What Now?! app, whilst simultaneously adding value to the customer travel experience.

The What Now?! app will allow users to get inspired and plan roughly what to do that day and book tickets through complimentary hotel Wi-Fi and download relevant information from trusted sources all in one place. Once out exploring a city, the What Now?! app will use a combination of GPS and low usage memory to simulate a live smart phone experience - while data roaming is switched off - enabling consumers to change plans and find restaurants, bars, galleries and other local attractions based on their current mood, the weather, time of day etc.

Additionally, this growth maintained the company´s track record for outperforming the local market, which overall during 2015 / 16 experienced a moderate decrease[1]. &nbsp;

The UK remained unchanged as the most important source market worldwide for Hotelbeds Group, where the company offers UK intermediaries access to over 100,000 hotels, 19,000 transfers and 12,000 activities available in over 180 destinations globally.

As a destination for UK travellers, Spain was the top country during the 2015 / 2016 financial year, followed by the USA, Greece, Italy and Portugal. The fastest growing destinations for UK travellers were Spain, USA, Portugal, UAE and Mexico. By contrast, Turkey, France and Morocco were the destinations that experienced the greatest decrease compared to the previous year.

London, November 8, 2016 – Hotelbeds Group, the business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry globally, today launches APItude Cloud – a cloud-based version of the API connectivity suite launched by Hotelbeds at last year´s World Travel Market.

APItude Cloud has been created as a phase-two response to high customer demand for APItude and anticipates the need of customers for faster response times delivered via the decentralized server structure offered by the cloud – with servers for Asia and the Americas to be launched by late 2017.

Additionally APItude has incorporated new functionalities in the BookingAPI, and the ContentAPI. These will include booking modifications, more advanced filters to help clients find exactly what they need, the introduction of e-Vouchers, and an updated hotels list in order to further enhance the developer experience.

Palma, October 4, 2017 – Hotelbeds Group, a global bedbank and business-to-business provider of services to the travel industry, has confirmed that – following the closure of the customary regulatory and legal procedures – GTA has officially joined the Group. [1]

A strategic integration plan is now underway to integrate both GTA and Tourico Holidays – which joined the Group in June – into Hotelbeds Group in a phased approach. &nbsp;

In the future, both hotel and ancillary partners, as well as travel intermediary clients, of all three companies will have access to an integrated and enhanced range of services, products and technology solutions drawn from the combination of all three.

To reflect the new combined organisation and to drive forward the integration across all functions, the new leadership team of the Group was today confirmed to employees globally and published on Hotelbeds Group´s website.

Joan Vilà remains Executive Chairman of Hotelbeds Group, with Carlos Muñoz continuing in his role as Managing Director Bedbank with the responsibility to manage the integration of the three businesses. Current Finance Director, Andrés Garcia takes on the Finance responsibility for the enlarged Group. Additionally various existing GTA, Tourico Holidays and Hotelbeds Group senior executives are taking leading roles across the enlarged organisation.

This morning the Group also confirmed that leading travel-technology executive José Antonio Tazón has been appointed Senior Non-Executive Director of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Advisory Committee, reflecting the Group´s status as both an independent and significantly larger company.

Para los destinos dentro de México, Cancún consigue escalar una posición –adelantando a Riviera Maya- y situarse como el primer destino elegido para las vacaciones de verano con un fuerte incremento de un 17% en TTV (Total Transaction Values).
