London, 7 April 2026.- HBX Group (HBX.SM), a leading B2B travel technology marketplace, has confirmed the sponsors and the first speakers for MarketHub Europe 2026. The event will take place in Malta on 22–23 April at the InterContinental Malta, connecting key players from across the travel ecosystem.
With more than a decade of history behind it, MarketHub has become a well-established meeting point for the industry. It brings together partners from across geographies and segments, creating space for conversations that don’t always happen elsewhere. Each year, the event brings together a broad mix of partners, including more than 240 key client partners from over 15 source markets.
This year’s edition, under the theme “Unlocked”, will focus on a question many in the industry are currently facing: how to navigate uncertainty while still moving forward. The agenda looks at how data, partnerships and innovation can help unlock new opportunities in that context.
The line-up reflects that ambition. HBX Group’s CEO, Nicolas Huss, will open the event with a keynote on the evolving role of travel. Later, David Amsellem, Chief Distribution Officer, Xabi Zabala, Chief Sourcing and Commercial Services Officer, and other senior leaders from HBX Group will take the stage to share their perspective on key market dynamics and where they see the next areas of growth.
Over the two days, sessions will explore topics such as demand trends, distribution strategies, data-driven growth and the future of hotel partnerships. There is also a strong presence of external voices. Dave Goodger, Managing Director EMEA at Oxford Economics, will offer a view on travel demand in an uncertain global environment, while futurist John Sanei will look at how organisations can adapt and stay relevant as change accelerates.
Panel discussions will add further perspective, bringing together representatives from companies including Minor Hotels, Accor, easyJet and lastminute.com, alongside HBX Group executives. The aim is simple: to move beyond headlines and get into the realities the industry is facing today.
David Amsellem, Chief Distribution Officer at HBX Group, said: “MarketHub has always been about creating the right environment for our partners to connect in a meaningful way. Bringing together such a diverse group of clients —from distributors to technology players— allows us to have open, honest conversations about the challenges they are facing and, more importantly, how we can address them together. That exchange is what ultimately drives progress across the ecosystem.”
Xabi Zabala, Chief Sourcing and Commercial Services Officer at HBX Group, added: “The continued support of our partners plays an important role in shaping MarketHub each year. Having leading global brands involved as sponsors reflects the collaborative nature of our industry. It enhances the overall experience and helps drive more meaningful conversations across the ecosystem.”
HBX Group has also confirmed a strong group of partners supporting the event. VisitMalta will act as the hosting destination, with IHG Hotels & Resorts as hosting sponsor. Platinum sponsors include Accor, Minor Hotels, Disney Destinations and Clermont Hotel Group.
MarketHub Europe 2026 is an invitation-only event and is expected to welcome around 450 participants from across the industry, where partners connect, exchange ideas and explore how to move the industry forward together.
